The Cygnus nebula is one of the biggest and brightest nebula visible from the nord hemisphere.Â
It is made of various clouds of gaz (hydrogen, sulfide, oxygen,...) and stars, all being part of our own galaxy, the Milky Way.
It has been captured using a 300mm scope and special narrow band filters. The total exposure (sub-exposures compilation) is more than 45 hours long.
We use the same colorization process than the one used for the famous Hubble spacial scope images.
With these RGB images, red is mapped to sulfide (SII), green to hydrogen (Ha) and blue to oxygen (OIII).
Dark areas are dust clouds floating in space.
