North America and Pelican nebulas group is one of the rare deep sky gaz areas visible without instrument (indeed under a very dark backyard sky).
The North America nebula is also known as NGC7000.
It has been captured using a 106mm scope and special narrow band filters. The total exposure (sub-exposures compilation) is more than 30 hours long.
We use the same colorization process than the one used for the famous Hubble spacial scope images.
With these RGB images, red is mapped to Sulfide (SII), green to Hydrogen (Ha) and blue to oxygen (OIII).
